Have you lost touch with your needs?

“I have no needs.”

“My needs don’t matter.”

"I'm selfish if I have needs."

“I need the other person to be okay, then I’ll be okay.”

You may find yourself automatically orienting toward others while struggling to recognize what you want, need, or feel. Over time, this can create exhaustion, anxiety, depression, resentment, confusion, and a deep disconnection from yourself.

This module is an invitation to begin listening inward again.

In this module, you’ll explore:

The difference between wants and needs
How codependency and anxious attachment disconnect us from ourselves
Why unmet needs can contribute to anxiety, depression, resentment, and survival responses
How to begin listening inward and recognizing what you need
Ways to respond to your needs with greater awareness and self-compassion
Guided reflections, grounding practices, journaling prompts, and experiential exercises that support self-connection

Listening and attending to yourself

When you've spent years having to override your own emotions, sensations, needs, and boundaries in order to maintain connection, avoid conflict, or keep others okay, it can feel not only unfamiliar but also scary to pause and ask yourself what you need.
As you learn to tune in to yourself, you may begin to notice more calm and ease entering your daily life. Through grounding, reflection, experiential exercises, and guided inquiry, you’ll begin practicing how to notice, listen to, and respond to your needs with greater awareness, compassion, acceptance, and self-trust.
